Windelo Certified Pre-Owned is designed for both prospective owners and current owners looking to sell their Windelo.

A technical inspection, review of the manufacturer’s service history, preparation of the boat, orientation, and post-purchase support provide a clear framework for the transaction.

Each Windelo catamaran can thus continue its sailing journey with a new owner.

Every Windelo Certified Pre-Owned catamaran comes with verifiable information from the manufacturer’s records. When purchasing a used catamaran, this information helps the buyer better understand the boat they are interested in. The seller, for their part, can present their Windelo catamaran in a structured manner, with the support of the shipyard.

The manufacturer’s service history, the boat’s configuration, and its main equipment are clearly identified and available online via a customer portal linked to the boat. The warranty transfer is also automatic.

This support can also be provided internationally, even when the catamaran is located abroad.

What is a Windelo Certified Pre-Owned catamaran?

The Windelo Certified Pre-Owned label is based on a process defined by the shipyard: before delivery, every boat included in the program undergoes an inspection, preparation, and documentation process designed to give the future owner a clear picture of the vessel they are considering purchasing.

Every Windelo Certified Pre-Owned used catamaran undergoes a 1,000-point technical inspection designed to examine the boat’s main systems and equipment. The manufacturer identifies any elements that could affect the catamaran’s performance, appearance, or value.

The inspection provides a common basis of information for the seller, the shipyard, and the future owner. Windelo recommends an independent marine survey; the buyer is free to choose their own surveyor, whose independence remains intact, and the shipyard simply facilitates the process.

Based on the findings of the inspection, Windelo identifies issues that need to be addressed before the sale and suggests changes or improvements to be made. Depending on the new owner’s plans, Windelo can also coordinate the completion of these tasks before viewings, delivery, or handover of the boat.

03 - A Boat Documented Thanks to the Builder's Expertise

As the manufacturer, the shipyard has the boat’s service history, knows its configuration, its main options, the systems installed on board, and any previous or ongoing after-sales service work. This allows our teams to place each pre-owned Windelo in its technical context and answer questions about its specific features as well as any changes made since delivery.

This information remains available to you after your purchase: your Windelo customer portal brings together the boat’s history, its documentation, and access to Windelo Service.

04 - Transferred warranties and a 6-month commercial warranty

For eligible boats, Windelo provides a 6-month commercial warranty on the systems and equipment covered by the warranty. Managed directly by the shipyard, it offers additional protection after delivery. The applicable terms are specified for each boat at the time of the transaction.

Any manufacturer warranties that are still valid and eligible are also automatically transferred to the new owner, with a written commitment from the shipyard regarding the eligible items: you are covered from day one.

A Windelo Certified Pre-Owned is a used catamaran that is part of the shipyard’s pre-owned program.
