A second life at sea, guided by the Windelo shipyard

Windelo Catamarans are undoubtedly the most eco-friendly catamarans out there, from the build of basalt & PET eco-composite or the use of electric engines & renewable energies. When a Windelo has had a first life exploiring the seas or sailing around the world autonomously, it can contibute to respecting the environment even further by joining another crew on their small or big trips as a second-hand catamaran.

At Windelo, we know the boats inside-out – not least our specifically developed electric-hybrid propulsion and management of (green) energy on board. We have a full account of the vessel’s inventory and history. 

We are best placed to support both the seller and the buyer, to get any work on the boat done, and we will ensure a 100% follow through to new and happy owners including a full handover & training just the same as for a new boat. As a second-hand Windelo owner you will be a fully esteemed client and member of the Windelo community.

a Windelo 54 Yachting

Svag & Co, a 2024 Windelo 54 Yachting, embodies a true Mediterranean way of life — more instinctive, more sustainable, yet always centered around the pleasure of sailing.

Since her launch, this 54-foot catamaran has cruised between Sardinia, the European coastline, and Greece, combining long coastal passages, off-the-grid anchorages, and extended stays close to nature — far from crowded marinas and noise.

Joule, a Windelo 50 Yachting

After spending her first months cruising the Mediterranean with her owners, Joule, a 2023 Windelo 50 Yachting, set sail across the Atlantic in November 2023 as part of the ARC rally towards the Caribbean.

Designed as a true floating home, this catamaran then covered more than 17,000 nautical miles throughout the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the US East Coast. For nearly a year and a half, Joule followed the rhythm of anchorages, coastal cruising, and offshore passages, spending two summers in Cape Cod and two winters in the Caribbean.

Hakuna Matata, a Windelo 50 Adventure

Hakuna Matata, hull number one of Windelo 50 Adventure, is a legend to many of our supporters and followers. The first ever Basalt built, Electrically Powered and Sustainable Performance Catamaran.

As a first, she was particularly nurtured through her production, commissioning and her trial Atlantic tour of some 20,000miles. She set the speed records we have, and confirmed all the Windelo concepts.
