Hakuna Matata, the first Windelo 50 Adventure, arrived at Martinique on December 7th. What a great moment for her owners as well as for our team!
Hop aboard Hakuna Matata and be part of their unforgettable sailing experience through their travel log! A transatlantic journey where the crew was blown away by the performance and comfort of their catamaran:
- What a pleasure to sail at an average of 14,8 knots at some parts of the crossing! A lot of fun surfing with speeds above 20 knots and traveling more than 250 NM in 24 hours!
- Relaxing time for the crew during the nighttime while cruising downwind with the waves. Even with two -to five-meter-high waves during some days, Hakuna Matata remained exceptionally stable to guarantee a good rest for the crew!
Crossing the Atlantic is an exceptional adventure. It is about getting closer to nature and yourself. You are part of the sunrises, sunsets, and unforgettable moments. You become one with nature. Here are just a few extraordinary moments shared by the Windelo 50 crew:
- observing the bioluminescent plankton and watching dolphins dancing around the boat
- following a superpod of more than 100 dolphins
- funexpected visits from curious sea turtles just a couple of meters from the sailboat!
